Free Camp Nano Printables!

Nicole is going Camping!

Camp NaNo July 2020 has officially begun…

Before we get to the FREE printables, a little note about Camp NaNo:

(Scroll down if you just want your freebies!)

As of today, July 1st, 2020, Camp NaNo has begun. I participated in Camp during April – focusing on getting some posts written for this blog. I crushed that goal. I planned on writing 30,000 words and ended up with over 45,000.

This time around, I’m working on a total rewrite of my second novel. I wrote the first draft during #NaNoWriMo 2019. But I’m not super in love with how it turned out. So I decided to try again. What better time to do it than Camp?

I’m also excited to really put my new Novlr software to the test. If you haven’t read my review of this writing tool, check it out here. Novlr is a word processor designed specifically for novel writers. I highly recommend it to all my readers! I will be posting an update about how it faired during Camp in early August.

Why do I love Camp NaNo so much?

It’s motivating – I often have writing goals that forever sit on the back burner. I’m sure you do too. Creating a Camp Project out of one of those goals gets me motivated to actually finish it. First, it helps me to turn my project into a SMART goal – setting a word count and a deadline, and sharing my plans with the world as my accountability partner.

It’s inspiring – Camp is so fun. Just like summer camp as a kid, there’s a whole theme to this time of year for NaNo. One of my favorite parts about camp are the care packages – little inspirational and motivational advice, tips, and ideas from tons of interesting authors and writers.

There’s comradery – The NaNoWriMo website has tons of resources for writers, including writer’s groups that you can create and join. You can also add individual “buddies. if you’re not ready for a whole group.

Back in the days before COVID-19 social distancing regulations, you could even find a real life writing group to meet up with. There’s still virtual write ins and word sprints for those days where you need an extra push.

There’s rewards! – Just like winning NaNoWriMo, winning camp comes with rewards. Usually you get great discounts on much needed writing supplies, subscriptions to writing services and tools, and of course, the swag….

Why are you telling us this, Nicole?

I’m posting this for two reasons. The first is to let you know that I won’t be posting too much during July because my main focus is going to be my novel. The second is to let you know some very exciting news!

I’m super excited to share some resources I’ve created for Camp!

The resources below are 100% free to all of my readers. I won’t ask you to sign up for me e-mail list. But, I do want something in return if you can…. If you find these resources helpful, please just drop a comment at the end of this post. Or, even better, share this article with a friend. Thanks so much for supporting me, so I can continue to help you on your writing journey!
